Politique de Confidentialité

This policy explains what personal data Vela collects, why it is collected, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD).

Data controller

The Snacker SASU — 25 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France. Contact for data requests: legal@this-is-vela.com.

What we collect and why

• Email and first name, when you request a product or subscribe — to deliver the requested resource and send the Sunday Letter and related updates. Legal basis: consent.
• Messages you send us (inquiries, applications) — to respond and, where relevant, to deliver a service. Legal basis: pre-contract / legitimate interest.
• Basic usage data, if analytics are enabled — to understand and improve the site. Legal basis: consent / legitimate interest.

Processors and recipients

We rely on third-party providers to operate Vela, including Kit (ConvertKit) for email delivery, our hosting provider, and analytics (where enabled). These act as processors under our instructions. Some processors (e.g. Kit) may handle data outside the EU; transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision).

Retention

Subscriber data is kept while you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted or anonymised. Inquiry data is kept as long as needed to handle the request and to meet legal obligations.

Your rights (RGPD)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or port your data, to object to its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Requests: legal@this-is-vela.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).

Cookies

This site does not currently use tracking cookies. If analytics are introduced, a consent banner will appear and tracking will only load after your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
